Flew over 300 missions as Bomber Pilot during Battle of Britain, Malta & in the Artic before forming the “Wild Boar” unit which downed 56 British Bombers over Berlin the night of Aug. 24, 1943. One week later downed 46 heavy bombers over Berlin. Three nights later 26 were shot down, 128 heavy bombers in ten days. Captured by the Russians when he landed behind Russian lines to rescue a comrade forced down. The Russians kept him as a prisoner of war for 11 years. Nice color postcard size. Signed on front.
